Air Pollution Effects on Health
When we do medical talks, we’re supposed to talk about who
funded us, and I’ll tell you that no one has funded me on
any of this. I’ve done this all on my own; I’ve never received
a penny from anybody doing this. I just want you to know
that this is something that I got into because of an awareness
of a lot of medical studies that were coming out that were
showing this connection between air pollution and all these
adverse health effects. And this happened right at the time

An Ecological Connection Underfoot
Ordinarily, I don't consider a particularly interesting subject -- unless you're a cat looking for a place to scratch or an interior decorator redoing a penthouse.
Carpet is something to walk on, to vacuum and the eventually replace when it becomes so threadbare and stained even the cat disdains further contact with it. It's a utilitarian home furnishing that comes in many different textures and designs, but serves only one basic purpose -- to cover floors and provide a little cushiony comfort under foot.
