Catawba's profile in the guide and downloadable version of the full guide can be accessed at www.princetonreview.com/green-guide and on the website of the USGBC's Center for Green Schools at www.centerforgreenschools.org/greenguide
The 322 schools included in this guide were based on the "Green Rating” scores tallied for them in 2011 and reported in profiles of these schools published in summer 2011 on the Princeton Review website and in some of that company's print edition college guides. The Green Rating is a numerical score from 60 – 99 that is based on data from a 50-question survey conducted among hundreds of school administrators about their school's environmental and sustainability-related commitments and initiatives.
Of 768 schools for which Green Rating scores were tallied in 2011, the 322 schools in this guide received scores of 83 or higher. Note: The Princeton Review does not rank the schools in this guide hierarchically (1 to 322) according to their Green Rating scores, or report those scores in the profiles in this guide.
