The film by Jeffrey M. Smith, author of Seeds of Deception, won the Solari Report’s 2012 Movie of the Year award and AwareGuide’s Top Transformational Film of 2012. It reveals evidence that genetically engineered foods contribute to rising disease rates in the U.S. population, especially among children. The movie’s website indicates that “gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, inflammatory diseases, and infertility are just some of the problems implicated in humans, pets, livestock, and lab animals that eat genetically modified soybeans and corn.”

The food tasting will begin at 6 p.m. and the movie will start at 6:45. The event is free but reservations are required. To register, call 704.637.4727 or  visit
