Gas Cap Check and Free Replacement
On Sept 25, the Center for the Environment is partnering with Charlotte Mecklenburg Air Quality, RCCC and the City of Kannapolis Environmental Stewardship Commission to host this event. Join us at the Kannapolis Kares Day event at Village Park in Kannapolis between 7:30am and 1pm for a gas cap check and FREE replacement and tire pressure check and adjustment.
Why should you get your gas cap and tire pressure checked?
- A leaking gas cap can cost you on average $80 and 200 pounds of pollution per year.
- Under inflated tires can cost you another $150 and up to 400 pounds of pollution per year
- Soft tires and leaking gas caps cost our families over $16 Billion dollars per year
- If everyone in the United States inflated their tires correctly and had tight gas caps, we would save between 16 and 17 million gallons of gasoline per day.
Come get your tire pressure checked and adjusted and your gas cap checked and replaced for free.
