Center for Environment to Offer Event on Saving Energy Costs for Business, Government & Education
“How to Keep Your New Year’s Resolution to Save on Energy Costs” will be the topic for the Center for the Environment’s second event in its Business Sustainability Series.
The breakfast for businesses and governmental and educational organizations will be held from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. on Friday, February 7, in the Center for the Environment building on the Catawba College campus. The Center is offering the event in partnership with the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce, RowanWORKS Economic Development and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College.
Featured panelists include Robert Williams, sales consultant for Schneider Electric’s Energy Management and Sustainability Services Group in Raleigh; Maryanne McGowan, manager of strategy and implementation for Duke Energy in Cincinnati, Ohio; and Christal Perkins, planner - Energy & Environment at Waste Reduction Partners in Durham.
Panelists will share how large organizations can plan and save on energy costs. An informal question-and-answer session will follow their remarks. They will speak on energy independence and efficiency; savings programs; free energy audits; cost-sharing programs; and performance contracting.
